God
bless Maschitans,
one
and all! And all Proud Italians.
Mark
your calendar,
September
12th
for
the celebration of the century. Our
beloved Fresno
"St.
Elia Celebration" is 100 Years old this year. We
will be honoring the courage and spiritual
dedication of our ancestors who brought with them, and carried on, this
centuries old
Festa to Fresno from their humble village of Maschito, Italy
To
mark this very special occasion, the St. Elia Committee has dedicated itself to
planning a monumental
day of Celebration. A beautiful sit down dinner and festive local Italian
entertainment
will follow the traditional St. Alphonsus
Mass, bidding to carry St. Elia and the
procession.
Invitations
and reservation cards for the dinner and entertainment, being held in the
Valdez
Hall at the Convention Center, will be sent in June. There will be NO dinner tickets
at the door as in the past.
